JAS 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.

REV 12:9 The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

LK 8:31 And they begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.

   Believe it or not, all demons are believers in Jesus Christ because demons once lived in Heaven and were able to see Him themselves. They were actually His servants for a time, but when they rebelled and were cast down to the earth they were given parameters about what they could or could not do here concerning humans. If they violate these rules they are sent to the Abyss which is a prison for demons in Hell, and they are very terrified of being sent there. So why am I telling you all this about demons? Well, because a demon can only enter a human’s life or home by permission and playing around with too much paranormal stuff can attract and allow them to come in and masquerade as a ghost when it's not one. If you're not sure what is in your home then get in touch with a Spirit-filled discerning prophetic Christian and ask them to pray and take a walk though your home. But generally most people know if something evil is in their home.

Below are just a few of the typical signs for a spiritual infestation. They are as follows:

1. Feeling a sense that you are constantly being watched or spied upon.  You will often feel jumpy and/or on edge if a spirit is influencing the atmosphere in your home. You may also be looking over your shoulder a lot for no apparent reason. You will just feel, "creeped out".

2. Strange out of place sounds. This could be bangs or knocks on the walls, muffled voices, whispers, or even a voice you recognize, but the real person was not talking to you or even in the home.

3. Strange unexplainable smells. This could range anywhere from a cologne or perfume smell; to rotting meat, sulfur, or garbage smells. You might even smell smoking. Always check for a natural explanation though, and the nasty smells especially at night usually indicate a demonic presence.

4. Things vanishing or being moved. Favorite targets of evil spirits seem to be things like car keys or other things that are of use or value to your daily life. Evil spirits just want to intimidate you and make you think they are in control. If this does happen then don’t think you are losing your mind or waste a lot of time searching for things, just command them all to be returned in Jesus’ name.

5. Being touched or feeling like something passed through you. If a spirit passes through you then you will likely feel chilled to the bone in that area. You may be touched especially at night, and if this happens command the spirit to stop it and ask God to send His angels. You may need to catch up on your sleep at someone else’s house from time to time until the situation is resolved.

6. Seeing a spirit or orb. Evil spirits love to generate as much fear as possible in order to feed on it so they try to manifest themselves in different ways, usually at night. This may be an apparition or an orb that looks like a little bubble about 3/8'' in diameter. I’ve seen them even in the daytime.

7. Pets acting harassed and threatened. If your pets start acting like an intruder is in the house or they start running around as if trying to get away from something, this could either be the "kitty crazies", or they might actually be seeing or sensing something that you cannot see.

8. Bad dreams or nightmares. This will likely be a demonic presence trying to get into your head so to speak at a very vulnerable time, namely when you're asleep. But it could also be a stress dream due to the activity. Either way, just rebuke the spirit and command it to go in Jesus name.

9. Cold spots in your rooms or home. If you're dealing with an evil spirit then that spirit will likely try to drain power from things in order to manifest itself which can leave a void of cold. Also, flashlight batteries going dead for no reason can be a sign too. I had new batteries drained.

10. Family strife and odd mood swings. Evil spirits can project negative emotions at you and your family in order to drain you and break down your family unity. Many times they will focus on the most vulnerable person there in order to progressively break them down and try to control them.

^{PR 26:2} Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.

   If a number of these things above are happening on a fairly consistent basis then it is very possible that something might indeed be there. But there are ways to fight back and disarm it. First of all ask yourself this, has anyone in the house given this spirit permission to come and to dwell there? Remember, all a spirit needs is volition of will on someone’s part to set up residence there. Has anyone been dabbling in the occult, or doing things that act as a "landing strip" for hovering demons to come land on?  Permission or volition of will on your part must be completely revoked, and Jesus must be invited to come and live there in place of any evil in order to get rid of it. It might also help to contact a local Spirit-filled Christian church in your area and ask them to come pray with you and bless your home. Throw out any occult objects that have been an open door to the spirit-realm and refrain from watching or surfing pro-occult media. And if you still need help contact a Christian prophetic minister with good spiritual authority to help drive it out. They can pray for you and counsel you as well. And remember that Jesus can drive out any evil spirit.

LK 11:20 But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.
